Improving the HUD in CS:GO. Improving the HUD in CS:GO Setting up the HUD in CS GO - changing it to suit you

HUD is an interface in CS GO. It is indispensable when playing, but in some cases it only gets in the way. For example, if you suddenly wanted to take beautiful screenshots or make a cool movie. But how can I remove the bad news in the CS GO game in this case? Everything is very simple! Let's remove it together.

  1. How to disable HUD in demo
  2. How to hide weapons and hands
  3. How to turn hud back on

How to disable HUD in demo

So, if you want to shoot a gorgeous movie, but the interface elements spoil the whole picture, you can solve the problem quickly. The hood turns off quite easily. The developers have provided the necessary commands for this. But it’s important to remember that they only work when you run the demo. In a normal game, no.

To figure out how to disable the HUD in CS GO, you don’t need to delve into the code. It is enough to enter one (or all) of these commands into the console, and the bad will be removed:

  • cl_draw_only_deathnotices 1– will disable all interface elements. All that will remain are displays of who killed whom and the crosshairs;
  • crosshair "0"– will help if you need to remove only the sight and leave the rest;
  • cl_drawhud "0"– will completely remove the HUD from the demo, including kills and crosshairs.

The commands must be entered one by one after starting the demo. If the console does not open, you can enable it in the “Game Options”. By default it is always disabled.

The use of each of them hides the corresponding part of the hood. But this is not forever. You can always return the game to its original appearance after recording the movie. In the meantime, we get a blank card with a model of the player (hands and weapons).

How to hide weapons and hands

For some reason (for example, for a demonstration or review of the map), you needed to figure out how to remove the HUD in CS GO, including the player’s hands? Then, in addition to the commands listed above, you will have to enter one more:

impulse 200

This code completely disables hand and weapon models in the demo view. Now the screen will have a completely blank map without any interface items.

You can have as much fun as you like by leaving or disabling some of its individual parts within the presented commands. For example, leave only the crosshair or kill icons.

How to turn hud back on

After viewing the desired demo or creating a movie, you need to return the hood back to the game. We will still need it. To do this, it is not necessary to restart the game or mock it in any other way.

There are several commands to return the badge to its place:

  • cl_drawhud "1"– in the case when the player completely turned off the interface along with the display of kills;
  • cl_draw_only_deathnotices 0– must be entered if the badge was disabled, but the deaths remained;
  • crosshair "1"– to return a previously removed sight;
  • To return your hands and weapons, just scroll the mouse wheel.

After returning the game to its original form, you can return to viewing demos at any time. Hiding the badge will not affect the game itself online and even with bots. In multiplayer mode, these commands simply do not work, only with demos.

And to make your movies or screenshots even more beautiful, you can install special cards and turn up the graphics to the maximum (if your hardware allows).

There are many reasons why you need to know how to remove badges in CS GO? For example, you needed to take a beautiful screenshot, or maybe you decided to make movies. A beautiful picture will not be a hindrance. We will write to you about possible ways that will be useful to you.

How to disable HUD in CS GO

When an interface spoils the overall picture, you need to get rid of it. You don't have to be a genius to do this, you just need to know how to open the console and enter the command we'll show you. And of course, we will do everything in the demo; it won’t work in a regular game.

In order to disable hud, you don’t need to go into game files and so on, everything is much simpler. There are several commands, but one may be enough for you.

  • cl_draw_only_deathnotices 1– only the score will remain on your screen, which shows who left whom, and also your sight.
  • crosshair "0"– removes only one sight, everything else remains in place
  • cl_drawhud "0"– complete removal of the interface, nothing will remain but the character’s hands.

Choose the one that suits you and use it. If the console does not turn on in the standard way (Y), then you should check the “Game Options”.

How to remove your hands

When you need a purely landscape map, so that there are no hands or weapons, then you can resort to one more trick; you should add one more to the above commands:

impulse 200

You are guaranteed a completely clean screen, nothing superfluous at all. All interface items will be removed, and you can safely take pictures or shoot videos.

How to enable hud in CS GO

When all the work is done, then you need to return everything to its place and continue the game. I think that the hood will still be useful to you. You don't need to restart the game or anything like that. There is a list of deactivating commands:

  • cl_drawhud "1"– use in the case when you completely disabled the interface.
  • cl_draw_only_deathnotices 0– when they left frags.
  • crosshair "1"– puts the sight in its rightful place.
  • for hands you just need to scroll the mouse wheel.

All processes are done in the demo so that it does not interfere with your online game. Although, even if you try to do this in multiplayer, you won't succeed.

Tired of the standard HUD in CS GO? Do you want to configure it so that you can play with maximum comfort and not be distracted by eye-catching details? In this case, it's time to change the interface settings in CS GO! It's simple, fast, and there are a lot of options for changes.

  • Dimensions and appearance
  • HUD Location
  • Radar Settings

How to change the interface color in CS GO - there is no standard

Interface customization can be very flexible. Everything changes - from size to location. We will learn not only how to change the color of the interface. But for now we are only setting it up.

In total, the game offers 11 colors for the HUD:

  • 0 – standard gray shade;
  • 1 – neutral white;
  • 2 – light blue;
  • 3 – blue;
  • 4 – lilac;
  • 5 – red;
  • 6 – orange;
  • 7 – bright yellow;
  • 8 – light green;
  • 9 – turquoise;
  • 10 – pink.

The number that indicates the color must be substituted into the console command below. And then the shade will become exactly what is required.

How to make the color change: commands for setting

There is an easy way to change the color of your hood. These are console commands. To change the HUD color through it, just enter the following command:

cl_hud_color *

Instead of an asterisk, we need to substitute the number of the color we want. This way we change it without applying settings. This will solve the question of how to change the color of HP, armor and everything at once.

It is noteworthy that you can separately change the color of the weapon display! It's pleasing to the eye. To activate the command you need to enter the command:

cl_loadout_colorweaponnames 1

The selected weapon with the skin will be labeled in a colored font. Its shade will match the color of the skin quality (for example, AWP | Dragon Lore will be signed in red letters).

Setting up HUD in CS GO - change it to suit you

But color is not the only option to make a hood more comfortable and beautiful. You can change it as you like within the limits set by the developers. And for this there are special console commands that can make the interface truly unique.

Dimensions and appearance

How to customize the HUD by changing the location of its usual elements or slightly varying their appearance? It’s very simple - through the console using the commands below.

hud_scaling (from 0.5 to 0.95)– changes the size of the interface along with the radar. Less value means less details. And vice versa. If you set the value to 0.95, you get standard thin.

cl_hud_playercount_showcount (0 or 1)– the command changes the display of the panel with the number of players. A value of 0 shows each player's icons. On 1 – displays only the quantity in numbers.

cl_hud_healthammo_style (0 or 1)– changes the appearance of the health and armor bar. A value of 0 displays the scale and numbers next to it. And 1 will leave only a number.

cl_showloadout (0 or 1)– changes the display of weapons in the lower left corner. At 0, inventory will not be visible. At 1, icons of everything that is in the character’s pockets will be placed on the screen.

Location

Directly through the console you can change the location of some interface elements.

cl_hud_playercount_pos (0 or 1)– moves the panel with the number of players up or down accordingly.

cl_hud_bomb_under_radar (0 or 1)– changes the position of the bomb icon. The number 0 leaves it only next to the weapon. If you put 1, then the command copies the display of the bomb next to the weapon under the radar, as in CS 1.6.

Radar Settings

The radar is given a special place, since its fine and most convenient settings are important for every player.

cl_hud_radar_scale (from 0.8 to 1.3)– depending on the value, reduces or enlarges the radar, stretching the mini-map image on it.

cl_radar_always_centered (0 or 1)– changes the behavior of the radar when the player moves. At 0, the map moves following the movements. And at 1 it will not move.

cl_radar_icon_scale_min (from 0.4 to 1)– changes the display size of characters on the mini-map. The higher the value, the larger the dots.

cl_radar_rotate (0 or 1)– changes the behavior of the radar when the camera is rotated. At 0, the radar is stationary and always turned in one direction. At 1, it turns following the gamer's movements.

cl_radar_scale (from 0.25 to 1)– controls the scale of the mini-map on the radar. More variable means higher scaling. An important command - you can configure the entire map to be displayed on a small radar at once and see everything that is happening.

cl_radar_square_with_scoreboard (0 or 1)– allows you to see the mini-map when the account is open. At 0 the function does not work, at 1 the radar becomes square and shows the entire map at once.

Don't like the standard cs go hud? But it is an integral part of the gameplay. It is important that you feel comfortable working with the interface. Today we will try to customize hud cs go as much as possible for ourselves.

General interface setup

Customization of the hud can be done very easily through the console line; you do not need to additionally go into the game files.

hud_scaling 0.5-0.95- a command that changes the size of everything. For a small screen, choose a lower value, everything will be displayed perfectly on your monitor, but for a large screen it is better to set the standard to 0.95.

cl_hud_radar_scale 0.8-1.3— the volume of the radar will change. If it bothers you or takes up too much space, then you can make it smaller.

cl_hud_playercount_pos 0-1— changes the location of the table where the players and the score are indicated. 0 - up, 1 - down.

cl_hud_playercount_showcount 0-1— if you want to see a picture instead of the number of players that will display detailed information, you should put a zero.

cl_hud_healthammo_style 0-1– she is responsible for displaying icons of HP, armor, and ammo. 0—showing detailed information, 1—minimalistic option, just a number.

cl_showloadout 0-1– affects the weapon icon at the bottom of the monitor. Set to 0 and the inventory will disappear from view. 1 gives us a chance to see the full picture - the entire arsenal of things that the player has.

Radar optimization

There are a number of settings when it comes to radar. We will try to sort them all out and explain the meanings.

cl_radar_always_centered 0-1– if you want a moving card, use 0, and to stop it, use 1.

cl_radar_icon_scale_min 0.4-1– helps in adjusting the size of allies and enemies on the map. The dots can be small and inconspicuous, or huge.

cl_radar_rotate 0-1– if the indicator is zero, the radar will be stationary, but if you enter 1, then it will rotate along with the camera. If you are used to playing with a standing radar, then getting used to its torsion is not so easy.

cl_radar_scale 0.25-1– the size of the map specifically in the radar. You can zoom in or out to see the whole situation without looking up from the game.

cl_radar_square_with_scoreboard 0-1– you want the mini-card to always be visible, even when the account is open. 1 makes it square and full, and 0 cancels the command.

cl_hud_bomb_under_radar 0-1- does not affect the radar itself, but the place under it. If you need to get rid of the bomb icon, then enter 0, and one returns everything to its place.
