The article about the “Second line from MTS” option will give you complete information on how to connect and disconnect this service.

Often, MTS users need to connect or disconnect a service. You decide for yourself what service you need, you yourself calculate how much money you are willing to spend on it. You have every right to enable any option. For example, service "Mobile Internet" now one of the most popular. People increasingly want to be in touch with the world, and MTS provides them with its services, offering loyal Internet tariffs. MTS will offer you a wide choice of connecting various options. Visit the official cellular website MTS (www.mts.ru), where you can see the full list of services offered by the company. Service “Call waiting and holding”, which is the same as "Mobile Internet" It is also considered one of the most popular options.

“Second line” from MTS: what is it?

We will look in detail at what this service is, when it appeared, why it is needed, and how to connect it. Previously, if a subscriber was talking, then the other caller heard beeps, which informed him that the subscriber was busy. Option “Call waiting and hold” or “Second line” automatically connected on all MTS tariff plans for those subscribers who use cellular communications MTS since March 13, 2009 and does not require any action from its clients. Those who joined earlier, that is until March 13, 2009, but wants to connect and use this option, they can enter a free one on their phone USSD request.

This service prevents the subscriber from missing important calls. “Second line”– this is an opportunity to keep two subscribers in touch at once. A person has the right to receive incoming calls even when he is already talking with someone on his mobile phone. You can ignore or reject the call, or answer, then the first interlocutor will have to wait a little on the second line. But it is possible that the second caller disconnects himself. This service works similarly with outgoing calls. During a dialogue with a subscriber, you can make important outgoing calls, while maintaining a conversation already in progress.

Let's analyze the work “Second line” For example. You are talking on the phone with your best friend, but at the same time, you are expecting a call from a work colleague. When you receive a second call, you hear a periodic sound - this means that you are receiving a call. You accept the second incoming call, while the first call goes on hold. The situation is similar with outgoing calls. For example, a work employee called you and asked you to clarify the data, and in order to clarify it, you should call the customer. Without disconnecting the employee, you dial the customer’s number and find out the data. After you have all the information, disconnect from the “second line”. All this time, an employee was waiting for you on the “first line”, to whom you pass on the information received. Everything is very simple. You save not only your time, but also the time of other people.

“Second line” from MTS: operating principle

If the caller comes across someone who is already talking, he will hear a polite request to wait. In turn, the talking subscriber hears periodic sounds that inform him about the presence “second line”.

The subscriber himself decides which line is more important to him and makes a decision. The decisions a person can make are:

  • He can ignore the incoming call, continuing with the current conversation;
  • If the second caller persistently calls you, then in order to answer him, you should first enter a number “2”, and then the green call button, but in such cases the first caller goes into mode “expectations”;
  • If the second incoming call is very important and involves a long conversation, then in order to answer the second caller and interrupt the conversation with the first, you should first press the number first “1” , and then the green call key;
  • It also happens that the second incoming call comes from a person who is not interesting to you, and you do not want to talk to him. The periodic sound begins to bother or distract you, then the second incoming call is reset by pressing the number “0” and still the same green call button, while the current dialogue is not interrupted.

Please note that currently the MTS mobile network has the ability to offer its customers two call modes simultaneously - held and active mode. In order to accept the third incoming call, you need to end any previous conversation. If this is not done, then the third subscriber will in any case only be able to hear busy tones.

As for charging, it all depends on the side of the active and held calls. There will be no charge for incoming calls, and both outgoing calls will be charged under the tariff plan you are using. Long-distance calls within Russia are charged at local outgoing rates. If the subscriber is in national or international roaming, then the cost of calls will be paid according to the current roaming tariff schedule, depending on the direction.
This option is available to all MTS users. The service is activated using USSD request by combination *43#. This combination also makes it possible to check the status of the service.

Scroll until the “Call Waiting” option appears on the screen; if you do not find it, then enter the tab "Extra options" and try to find it there, as soon as you find it - select this function. A new window will open with a choice of options: “Enable”, “Cancel”, “Status”, or just the opposite “Call Waiting” There will be a place for a mark (check mark). Click "Turn on" or check the box.   • While making a request, the operator could get stuck;
  • Your phone may be faulty.

3) Try waiting a short period of time, change your location, or restart your phone. After the above steps have been completed, try again.
4) You can also activate this option by sending a short USSD request MTS operator. Enter the code on your phone's keypad *43# and press call. Your phone number will automatically connect to the required function. The system will soon notify you that you have activated the service.

“Second line” from MTS: how to disable this service?

It happens that some subscribers do not need the service “Call waiting and holding”, then how to disable it? Finding out how to refuse to use the “second line” from MTS mobile communications is not difficult. Disconnection from this service is carried out using the previously indicated USSD request in *43# format or use the telephone menu.

The “Call Waiting/Hold” service consists of two modes: Call Waiting and Call Hold.

Call waiting

“Call Waiting” mode - allows you to receive an audio notification during a telephone conversation and information on the mobile phone display about the receipt of another telephone call. In this case, the sound signal about an incoming call will be heard only by the subscriber to whose address this call is received.

To use the “Call Waiting” mode after adding the “Call Waiting/Hold” service, you must activate it through the mobile phone keypad.

At the same time, on the display of the device you can see a message about the result of the actions performed.

If the “Mobile Office” and “Call Waiting/Hold” services are activated, the “Mobile Office” service will have priority. When receiving/transmitting a fax or data, the Call Waiting/Hold mode does not work and the subscriber will hear busy tones.

Call hold

“Call Hold” mode - allows you to make an outgoing call during a conversation with the first subscriber or receive an incoming call from the second subscriber, while the first subscriber will be in hold mode.

Also, the mode allows you to switch between calls without losing them, i.e. alternately talk with two subscribers.

When working with the “Call Waiting/Hold” service, it is better to use standard GSM control codes:

It is also possible to use the mode through the telephone menu (see the instructions for the telephone).

Attention!
If a subscriber calls numbers 0870 (Mobile Assistant), 0890 (MTS Contact Center), 0876 (financial control), “Call Hold” mode does not work.

How to add a service?

Service " Call waiting/hold" can be added either when concluding a contract or to a previously concluded contract:

  • through ;
  • through ;
  • by calling the MTS Contact Center (0890).

The “Call Waiting/Hold” service is included in the basic network settings package of JLLC “Abundant TeleSystems” and from 06/01/2016. is provided to all MTS subscribers in “active mode”.

What is the price?

The service is added free of charge and has no subscription fee.

What if I add both services?

When simultaneous activation of the “Call Waiting/Hold” and “Call Forwarding” services using a conditional forwarding code (code 61 “no answer” or code 67 “busy”), the “Call Waiting” mode is activated first, and then the “Call Forwarding” mode.

During a conversation, the subscriber sees the expected (second) call on the telephone display and hears a characteristic sound signal. The subscriber can answer the call, i.e. he will use the Call Waiting mode.

If, within the time specified for forwarding, the subscriber does not answer the expected (second) call, then the “Call Forwarding” mode will work for the second call. And the second call will be forwarded to the number specified for forwarding.

Tariffication

The subscriber pays only for outgoing calls, depending on the tariff plan. All incoming calls to a mobile phone are free, except calls while in roaming.

In order not to miss an important call from a business partner while you are planning a trip to the country with your relatives, it is recommended connect to the “second line” service, or as it is officially called – “Call Waiting”. With its help, you can simultaneously receive two incoming calls. You can switch one by one from one conversation to another using the prompts displayed on the phone screen.

Modern life is so dynamic and active that many people often have to make many phone calls in one day. In order not to end up missing the most important one - from a colleague or loved one, it is better to take care of connecting the second line on your phone in advance.

Instructions

  • Most often, the “Standby” mode is used as a second line on a mobile phone. Before connecting it to your phone, add this service to your tariff plan. To do this, call your mobile operator using the technical support short number and ask them to activate the “Call Waiting” mode. As soon as the operator makes changes to the tariff plan - as a rule, the service is activated for free - you can begin changing the settings on the phone itself.
  • To activate the connected “Call Waiting” service, go to the mobile phone menu and click on the “Options” or “Settings” item, depending on the device model. Then find the “Call”, “Phone” or another similar function and check the box next to the “Call Waiting” mode. This will put the service into active mode.
  • When you hear a beep during your next call, look at the screen. If the display shows a message about a second call, press the “answer” button and start talking without interrupting the line of the first call. At this time, the previous subscriber will listen to the standard waiting melody.
  • If you want to connect a second line to a landline phone, then first check whether the device supports this mode. Some older telephones are not capable of switching conversation modes from one line to another. If you have just such an outdated model, buy a new model at a mobile phone store or a store that sells household appliances. Then contact the telephone company that provides your landline service. Bring a certain package of documents, write an application according to the sample and wait until the second landline line is connected according to the processed application.
  • When talking with friends or family on abstract topics, you need to take care not to miss an important call, for example, from your boss or work colleagues. To do this, Beeline provides the ability to connect a second line provided as part of the Call Waiting service. She allows you to accept a second call by placing the current call on hold.

    In order to connect a second line on Beeline, you need to dial the USSD command *43#. After connecting we will be able accept two calls at once. The service provides the following features:

    • Accepting a call during an ongoing conversation - press number 2 and the call key;
    • Making a call during an ongoing conversation - press number 2, then the call key, dial the phone number and press the call key again.

    In both cases, the first conversation will not be interrupted, but will remain hanging in anticipation. You can return to the first conversation by pressing two and the call key. When the second call is received, the called party hears short beeps and the caller's number appears on the screen - after which you can take appropriate actions.

    You can manage calls not only using the number keys, but also using the phone itself. All modern and even outdated phones support second line control by pressing control keys– when accepting the second call, appropriate prompts will be displayed on the screen. As already mentioned, the second line on Beeline is provided completely free of charge.

    As for the cost of calls, the prices do not change - incoming calls remain free, and outgoing calls are charged in accordance with the direction used (when on the home network). If for some reason the second line begins to fail, responding to callers with busy signals, you should reconnect the “Call Waiting” service. To do this, you need to use the USSD command *110*041# or call the special service number 067409041.

    After reconnecting the service, it should show correct operation. If you encounter any difficulties, contact the support service at 0611.
