Why choose a default browser?

For example, you want to open a saved link - Windows will find both browsers, and it does not know which one to grant the right to display the content. You will have to make this choice: a window will appear in which you will be asked which application should open the file.
It’s not difficult to choose, but the problem is that you have to do this every time you expand files that open in the browser. If you often work with such elements, then you will have to make choices for the system quite often. Choosing a default browser in different versions of Windows
The ability to specify a default browser was present in all versions of the operating system. But some methods present in older versions of Windows are missing in newer ones and vice versa.
