How to write launch parameters. CS GO launch options. Launch options for cs go for weak PCs

Now we will look at all possible ways to solve this problem in
Counter-Strike Global Offensive.

Crashes on startup?

Why does CS:GO crash on startup? Usually these are incorrect launch settings. Or something is missing.
The list of elements includes:
1. Drivers.
2. Cash games.
3. Game files.
4. Libraries.
Be sure to check and update everything.

On a note:

There are many more reasons for not launching a game in a pirated version. There is only one solution - look for another repack of the game. Try the most famous CS:GO “builds” (for example, R.G. Mechanics).
Launch the game through the launcher, it will update all files.

1 way:
Checking the game cache

1) Log in to Steam and find cs go.
2) Right-click.
3) “Properties” – “Local files”.
4) Check the cache.
If nothing has changed during startup, continue. We try to launch Steam as an administrator.

Method 2:
Reinstall the game in a directory with a name in English letters

The location of CS:GO and Steam on the disk is an important factor.
For those who have Windows 7, feel free to install compatibility with Windows XP (Service Pack 3).

3 way:
Update video card drivers and Microsoft Visual C++ libraries

Everything is simple and clear here - download everything from the office. site and update it.

4 way:
Checking the launch configuration

Let's check the launch configuration. Right-click on the game icon on Steam. Set launch parameters. Enter " -w 800 -h 600».

5 way:
Changing the settings in the config

We are going along the path " \Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg\" Next, open the “video.txt” file through Notepad and test the configurations. First, set the minimum parameters in CS:GO.
Also in the same file you need to switch “Settings.mat_queue_mode” “-1” / “1” or “2” to “0” or “-2”

Crashes in the main menu?

1 way:

On Steam, in the library, select the game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and click the second mouse button, select “Properties”, then select the “Local Files” bookmarks, and click the “Verify Cache Integrity” button.

Method 2:

To prevent crashes, the correct path must be specified - D:\Program Files\Steam(strictly without Russian characters!!! ).

3 way:

If it crashes, it means you need to install fresh drivers for the video card - NVIDIA GeForce Driver or ATI AMD Radeon Driver.
You should also update the Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft Visual C++, Microsoft XNA Framework, and so on.
And if you have an AMD Bulldozer processor, then you need to update the BIOS on the motherboard and that’s it.

4 way:

Sometimes some games can’t run with Russian characters and that’s it:

Incorrect example: D:\Games\Steam\
Correct example: D:\Games\Steam\

Here's an example:
Steam - D:\Program Files\Steam\
Game - D:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive
C: Steam + C: CSGO = works
D: Steam + D: CSGO = works
C: Steam + D: CSGO = fail (not working)
D: Steam + E: CSGO = fail (not working)

5 way:

Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services > Look for “Windows Management Tools” in the list and right-click on it > Properties, there will be “Startup Type”, set it to “Disabled”, then click “Stop”.
Accept all outages as they come.

Crashes in the main menu?

Since some solutions are similar to previous methods, there will be only two methods at this point.

1 way:
Disabling the message of the day

After the map has loaded and we are on the server, we usually see a window in front of us with some image or other information - this is the “message of the day”. Sometimes disabling it allows you to cope with the problem we are describing. To disable it, enter the following command in the console: cl_disablehtmlmotd 1

Method 2:
Reducing graphics settings

I think everything is clear here without further ado. Go to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive settings, go to the section Video and set all settings to minimum. If the minimum graphics settings solve the problem, you can experiment: increase each item in the settings one by one until the game starts to crash again. That is, choose the highest possible settings at which the game will not crash.

Launch parameters- these are certain commands that allow you to activate or deactivate certain functions for cs go, such as launching cs in a window, activating additional streams, disabling the initial screensaver.

Launch parameters are set in the properties of a particular game, in our case in the properties of cs go.

  1. Go to the library, find Counter-Strike: Global Offenisve there
  2. Right-click and find the tab properties. Click.
  3. A small menu opens, look for a tab in it Are common, then select Set launch options.
  4. Enter the parameters that we will discuss below, click Ok

Standard commands for CS GO in launch parameters

For the lazy (These are the most standard ones, more details below)
-refresh 144 -tickrate 128 -novid

List of CS: GO Start commands:

Automatic launch of the console when the game starts, it is pushed into all guides as necessary, in general I think that this function is completely useless.

Disables the tedious startup screensaver, now when you start CS, you immediately get to the main menu.

Enables high priority game mode, can increase FPS in the game.

Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense. This option may harm some users, carefully compare FPS and system performance before and after activating this option. By the way, it happens that the mouse lags in CS, and it is precisely this parameter that can cause harm. Test it.

Sets the tickrate to 128 on a local server, for example with bots. The standard number for the MM server is 64. With this parameter, the characters' movements become smoother, however, if you have a low FPS, it is recommended to leave it at 64.

This command loads information about textures, particles and other objects not in the game itself, but when logging into the server, therefore, you do not need to wait in the pistol round for the computer to load the smoke or other card effect. Recommended for inclusion.

Opens the game in full window.

Opens the game in a window.

Opens the game in full screen in a window.

W/-width
-h/-height

W or width ( width) -h or height ( height). With these parameters we can adjust the size of the game window. For me it looks like this: -w 1280-h 720

Here we will set the refresh rate. It all depends on the Hertz voltage of the monitor. Use this option if your monitor is more than 60Hz. For a 120Hz monitor set -refresh 120, if your monitor is 144Hz in turn set -refresh 144. Instead of -refresh you can also use -freq

With this command we can change the language in CS: GO by entering, let's say -language english to get English in the menu.

Here we set the number of cores, not threads, but cores (This has already been discussed and an official response from CS GO support has been received). View the number of cores of your computer in the Task Manager in the “Performance” tab.

There was talk that this parameter is no longer supported, so you can use the mat_queue_mode 2 parameter. This parameter will automatically assign all available cores to CS GO. The value of this command can also be set in the video.txt file, which is located in the \cfg\ folder.

Using this parameter we can turn off blood and cruelty in CS GO. Once this option is activated, players will stop bleeding. This will probably increase the FPS in the game, but you will lose the ability to understand whether the enemy was hit or not.

Interesting fact: Previously, when this parameter was activated, instead of a corpse, the terrorist took the pose of an arrested person with his hands on the back of his head.

This command disables some directx 9 features. For older computers, this command may increase the FPS.

Haha, let's, just in case, ban the use of the joystick in the game.

Using this command, error data will not be displayed in the console (Red inscriptions)

Here we can specify a configuration file that should be automatically loaded when the game starts.

Our best CS:GO launch options page contains a list of all the best launch options, how to use them, and how to optimize your game.

CS:GO is different from most shooters on the market, and when we say that, we mean the limitless level of skill and level of strategy that the game has to offer. It's also one of the most customizable competitive shooters on the market, allowing you to personalize almost every aspect of the HUD to suit your gaming style.

This level even expands on the launch settings for CS:GO available through the Steam menu. Write a few console commands in the box and you can change the way the game runs forever. Everything is possible, from graphical options to client language and even skipping the initial loading screen!

Below we've put together a list of required launch options to make the game run a little smoother and fix some of the glitches that the default version comes with.

How to enter launch parameters

Launch Options are small console commands that you will enter into the field labeled “Launch Options.” Fortunately, this setting is quite easy to find in the interface:

  • Head over to Steam.
  • Right-click on CS:GO and select "Set Launch Options".
  • A window will appear where you can enter the console commands described below.

List of best launch options:

Disable intro

Are you tired of seeing the Valve welcome intro that plays every time you load the game? Enter this command and it will no longer play. Oddly enough, this is a great way to start playing faster

Boot console at startup

This is useful if you want the console to open automatically when loading a game. This means that you are always ready to configure console commands from get-go mode if there are any changes you want to make.

Full screen, windowed and borderless mode

As the name suggests, these options load the game in full screen or windowed mode, and you can even remove the borders around the window if you want.

Set CPU priority

This next setting tells the PC to prioritize CS:GO over everything. This means that background tasks will not affect the game's performance.

Installing processor cores

This command tells the player how many processor cores on your PC need further performance optimization. Make sure you double check how many cores you have (probably 2, 4 or 8) and add the number after the space. We have marked where you should put the number as an "x".

Small FPS Boost

This causes CS:GO to automatically load textures when loaded into the map, instead of loading textures as needed. This should give a small boost to your overall FPS performance.

Cl_forcepreload 1

Change client language

Useful if you want to force the game to use another language, for practice or otherwise.

Good day. - a common question from those who downloaded and then doesn’t know how to launch them. This article will undoubtedly help you and we will tell you how to run the CS 1.6 server on your computer. It is on your computer, since on CS 1.6 hosting you can start the server directly through the control panel.

Launching the CS 1.6 server via HLDS

So, after you have downloaded the ready-made server, you need to launch it. In this method, we will launch the server through the HLDS program, which comes with almost all ready-made CS 1.6 servers. Open the server root folder and look for the file hlds.exe, which we launch.

After this, a window will appear where you need to specify the server name, port, Rcon password, and so on. We configure and launch.

After successful launch, a server management window will appear. Done, the server is running!

Starting the server in console mode via a bat file

A very simple way to start the server in console mode is to run it via .bat file. Just below we posted the same one for you .bat file to launch the CS 1.6 server, which you need to place in the root folder of your server. You will also need to open it and change it (right-click and select change). There we can change the starting map, port, maximum number of players and so on. We customize it for you.

Good day. I would like to start with a little background. When I switched from 1.6 to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, I had some confusion about the gameplay. After 1.6 it was really unusual to feel like I was in a new game, but over time everything fell into place.

My friends and acquaintances often ask me questions such as:

Why do I shoot in the head, and the bullets fly somewhere past? What's wrong with the sight, how to deal with it? Why are there so many settings? How to increase your rank? How to increase fps? What do you need to do to play better? How do you shoot like that?

In the process of creating the site, an idea came to my mind: why not help people who are just starting to play?
I will be happy to share my accumulated knowledge. And, who knows, perhaps this article will begin your journey into the world of eSports.

Where to start anyway?

– After installing the game, I advise you to go to the “launch options” of the game. So let's transgress.

The first thing to start with is to go to the Steam library and right-click on CSGO and select “properties”.

Then, you need to click on the “set launch parameters” field.

We will look at what launch commands there are and what should be written below:

Launch commands:

  • -novid - disables annoying intro.
  • -console - turns on the game console
  • -freq “number” – screen refresh rate (indicate your monitor hertz). For example: -freq 120
  • +exec - automatic launch of the configured config. For example: +exec autoexec.cfg
  • -high / -low - launch the game with high or low priority
  • -full / - fullscreen - full screen mode
  • -windowed / - window / - sw /— startwindowed — start the game in windowed mode
  • -w — set the width of the screen resolution. For example: -w 1024
  • -h — set the length of the screen resolution. For example: -h 768
  • +rate 128000 - the maximum amount of data that the host can receive (bits/sec.)
  • +cl_cmdrate 128 — maximum number (per second) of packets sent to the server
  • +cl_updaterate 128 — maximum number (per second) of requested package updates from the server
  • -noforcemspd - use mouse speed settings as in Windows
  • -noforcemaccel - disable mouse acceleration
  • -noforcemparms - use mouse button settings like in Windows
  • -threads “number” - the number of processor cores used by the game (indicate your number of cores). For example –threads 8
  • -m_rawinput - whether Windows sense settings affect the settings in the game
  • -tickrate 128 — update rate — from the server (per second) — for the server only.

To improve your game and increase FPS, I recommend writing the following in the launch parameters:

Novid -console -freq (number of hertz of your monitor) -threads (number of processor cores) -high (increases fps on weak computers) +rate 128000 +cl_cmdrate 128 +cl_updaterate 128 +cl_interp 0 +cl_interp_ratio 1+fps_max 0

* For all commands to work, you must add a space and a dash after entering each one.
For example: -novid –console

Thank you for your attention, we will be setting up a video card for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
