Found instructions on the Internet "Installing Windows 7 on an HP Pavilion g6-2364sr laptop" :

1. IN BIOS By "F10".

2. Easy installation in "UEFI Boot Order" downloads from "CD/DVD ROM Drive" will not give anything (subsection [I]"Legacy
Boot Order"
not active). Loading only takes place from OS boot manager . Let's look carefully at BIOS -e for a new one
menu item "Secure Boot" , which is included in this case. IN BIOS -e HP Pavilion g6-2364sr provided
the ability to disable this insidious service. Disable Secure Boot "Disabled"

4. Afterwards we turn it on Legacy Support

5. IN Legacy Support We set the boot the way we need it and boot from external media.

So, booting from the distribution disk "Windows 7 SP1 64-bit" we have:

Then I used heavy artillery - utility diskpart:

You launch the installation disk with "Windows 7" When the rewind screen appears "Install"
select the item below "Recovery" ...
Do not select automatic problem fixing because... we need a second option.
A window will open with all sorts of tools, you choose among them command line.

1. In the black command line window that appears, type diskpart and press ENTER .
Attention! After this, the line before the flickering cursor will begin with DISKPART>

2. select disk # and press ENTER .
# is the number of the disk you want to reformat.
The number can be viewed using the command list disk.
(the same command will show which disk is protected GPT there will be a sign opposite it *****)
For example, I wrote select disk 2
A line appeared
Disc 2 selected

3. clean and press ENTER . (ATTENTION! If the disk contains the necessary data, it will not be available later!)
A line appeared
DiskPart: Disk cleanup completed successfully.

4. create partition primary and press ENTER .
A line appeared
DiskPart: The specified partition was created successfully.

  1. Everything from diskpart-a and the command line you can exit: exit, ENTER, exit, ENTER.
    Now you can reinstall the system.

P.S. A little about the laptop itself:

Most laptop users are faced with situations where they need to reinstall the operating system, often while keeping the licensed Windows. This publication discusses several methods of how to reinstall Windows 7 on a laptop, and also talks about the nuances of the process of installing the OS on laptops from different manufacturers.

Restoring the system using a Windows 7 backup

Most mobile computer manufacturers create backup storage for 7 distributions or any other OS. Reinstalling Windows 7 on a laptop from these memory areas is done using built-in utilities.

To start the reinstallation, reboot your laptop and press:

  • for Windows on an HP laptop on F11;
  • on an ASUS laptop on F9, boot immediately when you start;
  • for Windows 7 on a Lenovo laptop on F11;
  • On an Acer laptop, the key combination Alt + F10 is suitable;
  • for Windows 7 on a SAMSUNG laptop on F4.

After pressing the desired key, instead of the standard Windows 7 boot, the OS recovery interface will open:

After downloading the program, follow the instructions to restore Windows.

But remember that all settings will be reset, and data from the previous copy of the system may be deleted.

Reinstalling from disk

When reinstalling from a disk, remember that to restore the license you need to use a distribution kit with exactly the same OS as was installed previously. You can find out the version of the installed system on a sticker, which is usually located on the back of the laptop. By the way, the license key for your copy of Windows is also located there.

Remember that when you reinstall, a new operating system is deployed from the disk, and to avoid problems in the future, you should delete the data from the previous Windows.

This is accomplished by formatting the system partition, so take care in advance to transfer all the necessary data from the selected hard drive volume to install Windows. It is not advisable to transfer installed programs, since this will lose connection with the registry, and many of them may not start. Don't be lazy, install them again after replacing the OS.

The installation disk distribution does not include drivers for all laptops, so download the drivers for your device in advance from the manufacturer’s official resource. If this is not done, then after installation there is a high probability of the following problems occurring:

  • The network card does not work;
  • Wi-Fi does not work;
  • Applications do not launch.

If you reinstalled the OS without this, then to troubleshoot network equipment you will have to download the driver distribution using another computer and transfer them using removable media, so before reinstalling, do not forget to play it safe and download drivers for the network card and Wi-Fi module.

To begin the installation process, insert the disc into the drive and restart your laptop. After your computer starts, open the boot menu and select boot from DVD.

This dialog is called up on most laptops using the F12 key, and on HP devices the combination F9 + Esc is used.

Often on older computers this function is missing, so you will need to open the BIOS and edit the boot priority yourself. To go to the BIOS on laptops, manufacturers use the following keys:

  • Acer, Asus, Samsung, Lenovo - F2;
  • hp - F10 + Esc .

If the brand of your device is not in this list, then find out the actual key for it on the window that loads when you turn on the PC.

The BIOS interface from different manufacturers is not similar in appearance, but the sequence of actions for changing the boot priority is almost identical. Navigation through the windows of a running BIOS of all versions is carried out using the arrows on the keyboard and the Enter, Esc, +, - keys.

Sequence of actions for BIOS AMI:

Sequence of action for BIOS Phoenix-Award:

Windows installation

After making a change to the BIOS and rebooting, a dialog will appear with the message: “Press any key to boot from CD or DVD.”

Further installation of Windows 7 is not difficult, do the following:

  1. Press any keyboard key.
  2. Wait until the file unpacker completes; a screen with the entry “Windows is loading files...” is displayed.
  3. In the dialogue " Windows installation» Specify the language and click on the Next button.
  4. In the window that appears, click on the large Install button.
  5. Select the version of the system to install that has a license code. You will need to enter it after reinstalling Windows 7.
  6. Agree to the licensing terms.
  7. Select installation method - " Full installation».
  8. Select the drive volume on which you are going to install the OS and prepare it by clicking on the item " Disk setup».
    There are situations when a reserved drive partition is present in the list; be sure to select another volume.
    If you have disks with a capacity of more than 250 GB, it is worth splitting them into several. Typically, a separate partition of up to 100 GB in size is allocated for system installation.
  9. Format the selected drive partition. A warning will appear that all information on it will be deleted. Confirm your consent, because you have previously saved all the necessary data. Wait for the installation to complete and click on Next.
  10. Wait for the installation process to complete, on average it lasts from fifteen to twenty-five minutes, the duration depends on the configuration of the laptop.
  11. Fill in the fields provided with your username and PC name.
  12. Protect your account with a password, or you can skip this step.
  13. Enter the key copied from the sticker on your laptop.
  14. Select your security options.
  15. Set the date and time.
  16. If you have a network connection, specify the connection type.

Reinstalled Windows is ready to go. If you changed the boot priorities in the BIOS, return the hard drive to first place in the list, otherwise the computer will constantly try to start from the DVD.

Reinstallation from a flash drive

Many compact PCs, such as netbooks, do not have a DVD drive. Therefore, the question arises of how to properly reinstall Windows 7 on them. The answer is simple - use removable media.

To reinstall from a flash drive, you need to download the Windows 7 distribution image in ISO format and write it to this media using a special utility. Remember, in order to properly reinstall a licensed Windows system, you need to download a container with the same OS version. The flash drive itself must have a capacity of at least four gigabytes.

Burning Windows to media using the most popular utility among analogues Ultra ISO is performed according to the following algorithm:

The installation flash drive is ready, but to start the installation, you need to select " USB-HDD" How to set up the BIOS is described above, all steps are similar, you just need to select another entry from the available list. Further installation is no different from installing Windows 7 from DVD.

Often after reinstalling Windows does not work. To solve this problem, take another OS distribution and repeat the installation process. In addition, many users ignore the need to format the partition and reinstall the seven on a disk that already has an installed copy of the system. Avoid this as it can also cause problems.

Conclusion

This article covered reinstalling Windows 7 in several ways. If there is no backup copy, then this procedure should be carried out from a disk on which exactly the same version of the OS is recorded. Some laptops do not have a CD-ROM, so reinstallation can only be done using external media, for example, a flash drive.

Video on the topic

If you are a laptop owner HP Envy M6 running on a new operating system Windows 8, - You are definitely looking for an answer to the question: how can reinstall more familiar and stable Windows 7 instead of very raw and incomprehensible Windows 8? And, if you have reached a dead end in search of a decent answer to this question, then you have come to the site you need!

Let's look at the main points using my laptop as an example. HP Envy M6 1151sr .

First we must correctly install the Windows 7 operating system. Laptops of the latest models, as you may have noticed, are equipped with a fundamentally new intermediary interface between the equipment and the system called UEFI. You can read what it is on the Internet. I will only touch on a few points. New interface - overcomes limitations, imposed by the system BIOS on the amount of memory (both physical and RAM), processor power, etc. One of the new features is support for hard drives larger than 2 TB . This is achieved using a new format for placing partition tables on the disk: replacing the master boot record MBR comes the so-called GPT. GPT allows the system to create a protected, separate partition that will contain Windows boot loader.

Typically, during installation, the system creates local disk with a capacity of 100 MB specifically for the bootloader. In the case of GPT, two partitions will be created - a 100 MB bootloader and a kind of “limiting line” - a disk that separates the boot partition from other local disks. All this is supported by Windows 7, but problems may arise after installation. If you are the owner licensed Windows 7 , - there is nothing to worry about. Just install it on disk and activate it. Otherwise, activation currently existing methods , will be impossible due to the fact that boot partition locked. And as a result, after the 3-day activation period, you will receive non-working system .

The best way to avoid this problem is - convert disk to MBR using an external bootable USB flash drive Windows 7. This operation WILL DELETE ALL FILES ON THE DISK! Don't forget to make a backup. Boot from the flash drive and click on the Start button. Enter in the search field "Computer Management" and open the appropriate program. Next, go to the “Disk Management” section. Right-click on the hard drive icon and select the menu item "Convert to MBR disk". Follow the steps as in the screenshot below, however, my disk is already in MBR and the menu item reads “Convert to GPT disk”.

After that delete all partitions from the disk - you will create them after installation.

The next important step is to boot correctly from the installation disk. without UEFI. The fact is that in UEFI, by default, GPT mode is enabled for the hard drive, but we need MBR. Therefore, when you turn on the computer, press F9 and select "Boot from internal CD/DVD-Rom" or something like that. Under no circumstances should we select “Boot from CD/DVD (UEFI)”, since the disk will be converted back to GPT when installing the system.

Which system to install is up to you, but my advice is to use original Windows 7 disk images. Since laptops HP Envy M6 run on processors Intel Core i3, i5, i7 with 64-bit architecture, and the amount of RAM exceeds 4 GB, - accordingly, we must install Windows 7 x64, I advise SP1- it is more stable. Another tip - when installing, do not allocate a lot of space for the system disk. Limit your volume 50-60 GB.

So, we successfully completed the installation. The second problem you will encounter is device drivers . The fact is that on the official website HP the manufacturer has provided the laptop with drivers only for Windows 8. And if you, like me, hate “burnt” drivers and “All in One” driver packages, then I will try to tell you how to find native drivers for Windows 7 on the Internet.

First of all, open Windows Device Manager: Computer (right click) -> Properties -> Device Manager . In the window that opens, some devices will be identified, some will have a yellow question mark. That's what we need.

There is only one unidentified device in the picture, but you will have more of them. The first thing we must do is create a text file with hardware identifiers. Perform the following action for all devices with a yellow question mark: right click -> Properties -> Details and select a property from the list - Equipment ID. Copy to the first line in the list that opens below and paste into a text file:

After the list is compiled, we pay attention to those lines that contain VEN_8086- this is the manufacturer identifier Intel. Processor, motherboard, controllers in laptops HP Envy M6- production of the company Intel.

The procedure is as follows:

1. In the search for the drp.su website, enter the equipment identifier line;

2. Copy the device name from the search results;

3. We look for the device driver in the Google.Com search engine, specifying the search query in this format:

Device name Windows 7 x64 HP.com

4. Find the driver page on the official hp website in the search results and go to this page;

5. Download the driver.

Next we look for drivers for all other devices. I’ll say right away - drivers WiFi, Bluetooth, Audio Cards, Fingerprint Readers, Card Reader and TouchPad suitable from the driver package for Windows 8. Simply go to the HP website in the Support -> Driver Downloads section, select your laptop from the list and download the specified drivers for Windows 8.

Switchable graphics adapter drivers can be found this way:

1. Go to the driver download page for your laptop on the official HP website;

2. In the “Graphics” section, copy the name of the driver, for example: “AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver”;

3. Search Google for the driver using the above method.

Here is a link to a driver that is suitable for a laptop HP Envy M6 1151sr: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=ru&lc=ru&dlc=ru&softwareitem=ob-98292-1 .

Concerning other devices, - if searching for any driver on Google does not return any results from the official HP website, then you should use the site search driver.ru. In the search bar you need to specify not the name of the device, but its identifier, which we copied earlier.

I did all this work previously for a laptop. HP Envy M6 1151sr. You can download drivers for this model here. And before you perform all the above steps to search for drivers, check their availability among my drivers.

After all device drivers have been downloaded, install them one by one with MANDATORY REBOOT after installation, in the following order:

1. Chipset (motherboard drivers)

2.Intel MEI

3. Intel USB 3.0

4. Intel Rapid Storage

5. HP 3D Drive Guard

6. Graphics drivers (switchable graphics);

7.TouchPad

8. Network

9. All other drivers.

This is the only way you can get a fully functioning Windows 7 system. Thank you for your attention!

When you buy a new computer or laptop, you want it to work long and reliably. Before purchasing, check its serviceability, functionality and the presence of Windows installed on it.

But over time, the new system becomes cluttered with different programs and begins to slow down and freeze. It needs to be reinstalled. But how to do that? How to reinstall the OS, because there was no DVD included with the laptop.

In fact, to restore the system and cleanly install it on your computer, a DVD is not required. The ISO image of the operating system is located inside the computer, in a hidden partition of the Recovery hard drive.

How to install the system from a hidden HDD partition of an HP Pavilion laptop will be written below.

Video Review: How to run Windows System Restore on an HP laptop.

This is how, starting with the F10 key, you can reinstall Windows from a hidden partition of your hard drive through the BIOS. If for some reason you were unable to do this, then you can leave a request for computer repair and setup in the city of Moscow through the website lanstroy.ru.

Reinstalling the Windows operating system is quite simple, if it is not Windows 8. There is no key to the system on the bottom of the laptop, since it is “stitched” in its BIOS. Therefore, you can only install the previous version on the laptop. Most often this is Single Language (version for one language). You can reinstall another one, but that's a different story. Therefore, this step-by-step instruction describes how to reinstall Windows 7.

Installing Windows on a laptop is almost the same as on a desktop computer, but there are some features. You will need: a laptop, a multiboot disk, time from 30 minutes to 2 hours and attentiveness. Before installation, find out the bitness and version of the system. Remember, if the disk is not licensed, then you are installing the system at risk. Irreversible consequences occur. Prepare the hard drive partition for the system. Usually this is the local drive “C:\”. All the contents of your “Desktop” are located on the “C:\” drive. After installing the system, the information on it will be deleted. Carefully review the contents of the folders in this section, save your archived information in another partition of the disk, on a CD, flash drive, or on any other medium. Do not save installed programs - it is easier to do this again than to clean the registry. Prepare the necessary drivers for your laptop in advance. More often than not, they are already included with computers and laptops, but if they are missing or need to be updated, they can only be found on the manufacturer’s website. Without the correct selection and installation of drivers, you can be left, for example, without the Internet. This will happen if there are no drivers for your laptop's network card on the Windows disk. Place the multiboot disk in the drive (or flash drive with the system image), restart the computer. It is important not to miss the moment and get into the BIOS. Therefore, immediately at the beginning of loading, press the “Delete” key several times (or another key: “F1”, “F2”, “Esc”, ... - depends on the system). A message about the required key to enter the BIOS is displayed on the screen at the very beginning, when information about the motherboard appears, do not miss it. You are now in the BIOS setup window. Use the cursor arrows to go to the “Boot” menu, it contains the line you need “Boot Device Priority”. Set the drive priority here so that booting starts from the installation disk, not from the hard drive. Now you have your hard drive marked (“HDD”, “Hard Drive”, “Hard Disk”). Using the indicated navigation keys, change it to a CD - its name must contain the letters “CD/DVD” (“USB” for a flash drive). Press the Enter key, then F10 to save the changes. You can immediately proceed to changing the drive if you press and hold the “F8” hotkey (options: “F8” - “F12”). Wait until the files are extracted and you will see a “Starting Windows” message. If the message “Press any key to boot from CD or DVD” appears, press, for example, “space”. The Windows installation start window appears on the screen. Select your national language, click “Install”. Select the edition of Windows that was installed on the laptop and for which you have the key. It is usually indicated on a piece of paper glued to the bottom of the laptop. Read the license, accept it - check the box. Installation type – “Full installation”. Follow along.

Specify the partition for Windows installation. If the partition is reserved by the system, then “Disk 0 Partition 1” is needed. It is important to avoid disappointment at this stage and see in advance how much free space is on the “C:\” drive and how much space is required by the Windows system. It is best to split the disk into 2 logical partitions: one system partition (from 50 GB to 100 GB), and the other for personal information. If necessary, create a section and click “Apply”.

If the partitions are created, then start formatting. You will receive a warning that all data on the disk partition will be irretrievably lost. You are already prepared, so you agree to the deletion and wait a few seconds. Available disk space has increased. Click Next.

The installation process has begun, and you can breathe easier. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen. By entering all the necessary data, you continue to observe the system installation process for up to 30 minutes. At the end you will be asked to enter your serial number. Find it on the distribution box, at the bottom of the laptop. No? – uncheck “Automatically activate when connected to the Internet”, skip this step. Configure your time zone, network type, and security. Reboot the laptop and change the drive in the BIOS to “HDD” again (see point 5). Windows installation is complete.

After installing Windows on your laptop, update the drivers via the Internet or from a disk. Then install all the necessary programs, be sure to install an anti-virus program, update its database. This instruction describes the installation of the system from a licensed, not a “pirated” disk.
