The last straw in this story was the update, because only version 3.4.0 worked on the updated firmware, and all the others “flyed” when uploading photos to the network, and its creators demanded an update until August 9, it seems.

To be honest, I was afraid to flash the phone. I couldn’t even imagine that I would cry like a girl and what I would have to go through in order for my I9003 to work stably. I searched through all the forums and other telephone heresy, but I never found an adequate answer. I had to crumple up all the acquired knowledge into a fist and hit the phone with it, there was nothing else to do. I came to one conclusion - do it normally - it will be fine if you're afraid, don't bother. At some point, my phone died and wouldn’t even turn on. This was a week of grief and tears and tragedy. But then I drank vodka, wiped my snot, gathered my strength again and began his reincarnation.

You must remember that all files from the root memory will be deleted - contacts, correspondence, etc. If your phone book is “clogged” in Google, everything will be restored. And then the most interesting thing began. We install drivers for SAMSUNG (so that the I9003 can see the computer), reboot the computer. We enter Download mode on the phone (press volume down + center + turn on simultaneously in order).

Then upload the files five-file(I9003XXKPE) firmware - Pit - Pit; Bootloader - APBOOT; PDA - CODE; PHONE - MODEM; CSC - CSC. Don't forget to tick the Re-Partition.

Again we go into Download mode and in the same way we sew root rights and CWM (clockworkmod recovery) file DDLF2-CF-Root(which is in the archive with firmware and Odin.), (don’t even think about unpacking it - *tar) we place it in PDA. We sew. Miracles! Now we have root rights, tweaks and updated recovery.
Now you can flash any firmware for I9003, be it MIU or SM, by placing them on a removable flash card with the *zip extension through a new recovery.
But we don’t need these innovations. We are simple guys - we want the phone to work for a long time and be stable. The official firmware 2.3.6 is actually great. As much as I didn't believe it at the beginning.

I have a music player. It’s fast, convenient, pleasant, but it doesn’t support Russian characters. There is also a wonderful player from the Japanese or Chinese, but I couldn’t read the hieroglyphs and didn’t understand.
