Communication

Firstly, it is primarily about communication – chats with colleagues and chats with clients (open lines):

You can create a new chat from the mobile app, just like in the browser or desktop app!

To do this you just need to click on the icon + in the right corner, select the chat type (open or closed chat) and invite employees to it.

In the list of chats, it is now possible to pin and unpin dialogs at the top of the list - option Pin/Unpin, and also hide dialogs – option Delete:

In group chats, you can also turn notifications off and on using the option Don't follow/Follow in the chat list. The same option is available in the group chat itself:

You can invite either one employee at a time or an entire department or division to the chat. And if you are the owner of the chat, then you can assign a new owner to it, as well as exclude users from the chat.

To do this, open the chat participants section and swipe from right to left (swipe) over the participant and select the desired item.

Contacts

You always have a complete and up-to-date list of colleagues' contacts at your fingertips. In the mobile version of Bitrix24, finding information about the desired employee is as easy as on the portal - just go to the section in the main menu Employees:

You will find all application settings in one place. To do this, go to the tab More and at the top call up the settings menu.

The mobile application settings are divided into several groups:

    Chapter

    Receive notifications– enables or disables the ability to receive push notifications.

    Smart filtering– if this option is enabled, while you are working in the desktop application, notifications will not be sent to the mobile application. Useful for saving battery.

    Application counter– This setting determines which tool counters (such as Live Feed or Chat counters) will affect the overall application counter on the desktop icon.

    Also in this section you can disable unnecessary types of mobile application notifications in Messages, Calendars, Chats, Tasks and Telephony.

    Chapter .

    Here you can create synchronization profiles for contacts and calendars.

    On Android devices this is part of the system settings, where you can additionally configure synchronization in more detail.

    Bitrix24 settings:

    – disable or enable vibration in the application.

    Use light theme– change the color theme of the application.

    Memory– in this section you can clear the cache of the application and downloaded documents.

    Files– here you select the size and quality of video files sent to the Live feed or chats.

Task management

In the mobile application, you can create tasks, monitor their completion, and monitor their statuses. In mobile tasks, any actions with tasks that are available in Bitrix24 are available. If tasks have files attached, you can also open them on your mobile device:

Working with files

The mobile application allows you to view documents, presentations and images. Everything that is available to you according to your rights on the portal: your personal files, public company files, files of colleagues and your groups. Popular formats and documents are supported: TXT, PNG, PDF, JPG, XLS, XLSX, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX. There is also a built-in search - in the current folder by headers and file names:

Files can be downloaded from a mobile phone as in My disk and then attach it from Disk to a task, to a message in the Live Feed or in a chat, or directly:

Attention! There is a feature for loading image or video files:

    If you upload pictures or videos first to My disk, then such files are not compressed, i.e. loaded as the original.

    If you upload pictures or videos directly to Live Feed, comments, tasks, or chats, then such files will be compressed. This should have a big impact on your download speed. The quality of the downloaded video can be adjusted in the section Settings > Files applications.

You can select up to 10 different different files, and during the download you can cancel the file transfer.

Calendar

The mobile Calendar displays an up-to-date list of meetings, planning sessions, meetings and other events. Also, from your mobile device, you can accept invitations or refuse to participate in meetings, create new events and invite your colleagues to them:

Mobile CRM

The application allows you to work with such CRM elements as Cases, Contacts, Companies, Transactions, Accounts, Offers, Leads, Products. You can create a new lead or change the status of a deal while directly in negotiations with a client:

Audio and Video calls

Bitrix24 telephony also works in the mobile application! If you need to communicate with a colleague in person and by voice, you can simply call him. And when you call with a client, you can immediately see information about the transaction from the CRM. Bitrix24 records conversations, redirects calls to another employee (redirecting to a mobile phone only works from the portal; it is not yet possible to redirect a call from a mobile application), automatically routes the call to the responsible person, and much more:

Why the app?

Quite a logical question. Why install an application if Bitrix24 itself is cloud-based and has a web face? The answer lies in its purpose. Still, this is not a one-way data transfer. Even if you do not take into account the problem from the previous paragraph, you should still be able to not only receive, but also transmit information. So far, mobile browsers do not know how to work effectively with the internal memory of a mobile device, but the application copes with this perfectly. Upload a revised document or report? Please. Should I send to the working group a layout of a presentation that I made on my knee while on the road, that is, on a tablet? Easily. Photos from the gallery are also uploaded beautifully. In this case, no additional software is required to view files already posted on the portal. The app comes with a viewer for most of the document and image formats we use.

In fact, we often ask ourselves the question: will tablets and smartphones be able to replace our computers and become working tools? In full, of course, not yet, but right now, imperceptibly and intangibly for ourselves, this is beginning to happen.

Compared to the web interface

We didn't want an app that just acts as an observer tool. You know, there are such decisions when you see everything, but you can’t do anything from your smartphone. We have to urgently resolve the issue of access to the computer and begin to act. In this case, the mobile application implements everything that is in the main web version of Bitrix24. Well, that is, literally. You can even look at the main menu of the web interface and compare.

All the points are the same, nothing is missing. First of all, we conducted an experiment and simulated setting and performing a specific task from a smartphone. We will not describe the algorithm and sequence again, since the article “” is devoted to the issue of setting and performing tasks. Suffice it to say that every action performed there was possible here - through a mobile application.

And yes, in the comments to previous publications we came across negative reviews about the iOS and Android applications of Bitrix24, but we were unable to repeat them in our own country. There are two options here: either we started actively using Bitrix24 mobile solutions later, and by this time the obvious bugs were fixed, or this is dark magic.

Most likely, the first point was to blame. Don’t forget that the word “beta” still hangs above the Bitrix24 logo. The only detail that objectively catches your eye now is that the application runs slower on Android than on iOS (more precisely, data is loaded more slowly during navigation). Otherwise everything is fine, nothing interferes with work.

In addition to purely work activities, the application helps to better organize the team thanks to the calendar. That is, you can immediately get a clear idea from a single interface of who is available and at what hours today. There is one more bonus for iPhone users: the Bitrix24 calendar is fully integrated with the native iOS calendar.

And yes, if the situation is absolutely critical, then directly from the application you can display all the contact details of any employee and call him in one tap.

Who needs a mobile application

Practice has shown that in most cases, a mobile application is more in demand by those involved in managerial, organizational and supervisory activities. In any case, to complete the task, the performer will need some office applications and tools, which are more convenient to use on a desktop computer or laptop, but after completing the main work, it is convenient to conduct further communication and clarify details from your smartphone.

Of course, the application helps account managers. A person who manages several projects at once, while ensuring and organizing the flow of data between third parties and collaborators, may go crazy if he does not have the opportunity to work with an avalanche of information through a single environment. In this regard, the application allows you to smooth out the overall load and distribute it more evenly over the working time interval.

And, of course, sales people - they communicate with clients, and clients are different. Some respond exclusively during business hours and promptly, while others tend to respond on the seventh night from the moment they receive the next letter.
